Blue Ridge posted a flood alert at 4 a.m. Thursday, closing State Street and Davis Street and warning that more roads may be unsafe. City Hall is closed for the day, and Fannin County Schools canceled classes Thursday because of widespread storm damage.

Blue Ridge City Council will hold a public hearing on the 2027 budget on Nov. 10 and return Nov. 17 to adopt the budget resolution, both at City Hall on West First Street.
