Blue Ridge Veterans Day Parade set for Nov. 7
Organizers have posted the route, timing and follow-up events for the Veterans Day Parade and ceremony in downtown Blue Ridge.

Blue Ridge’s Veterans Day Parade is set for Nov. 7, with the route starting at Church St. and E. Main St. and ending at Veterans Memorial Park. Organizers say participants should line up at 9 a.m., and they ask anyone planning to join the parade to pre-register. They also say no city permit is needed.
For people coming downtown to watch, the parade begins at 10 a.m., and organizers say to come early and find a viewing spot. A formal Veterans Day ceremony is scheduled for noon at Veterans Memorial Park, followed by a raffle drawing, cookout and lawn games at the Veterans Center next to the park. The Fannin County High School marching band is also listed as part of the parade.
