Early voting is open now in Blue Ridge for the Nov. 3 general election, and Fannin County voters can cast ballots at the elections office on West Main Street through Oct. 30. Georgia says early voting can help people avoid crowds or pick a time that works better for their schedules.
When and where
The county’s posted schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Oct. 30, with Saturday voting set for Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The drop box is in the election office lobby and is available only during early voting hours.
What to bring
The early voting site is Fannin County Voter Registration & Elections, 400 West Main St., Suite 104. Georgia says voters need a valid photo ID, such as a driver’s license, passport or voter identification card.
If you miss early voting
If you wait until Election Day, all precincts in Fannin County will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 3. For voters who plan to use absentee voting instead, the county says the application deadline is Oct. 23.
