Finally getting the boat up here for the summer. Which public ramp do locals actually use, and how bad does it get on summer weekends?

Morganton Point and Lakewood Landing both work; the free Forest Service ramp gets busy. Saturday mornings in July, get there early or you'll circle the lot with the trailer.

Marina can also launch you and they rent if your boat's in the shop. Watch the idle-speed zones near the ramps, DNR does check.
